The Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Course is a comprehensive training program designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to provide effective first aid in the workplace. This course focuses on equipping individuals with the necessary tools to respond to a wide range of emergencies and potentially life-threatening situations. Participants will learn essential first aid techniques, gain confidence in managing workplace incidents, and fulfill legal requirements for workplace safety.
Course Duration: 1-day course
Course Highlights:
- Understanding the role and responsibilities of an emergency first aider in the workplace
- Assessing and managing an incident safely
- Recognising and responding to different types of injuries and illnesses
- Cardiovascular emergencies: CPR techniques for adults, including the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs)
- Airway and breathing emergencies: Choking, asthma, anaphylaxis
- Circulatory emergencies: Severe bleeding, shock
- Management of fractures, sprains, and strains
- Recognition and response to common workplace hazards and injuries
- Record keeping and reporting of incidents
- Practical hands-on exercises, scenarios, and simulations
Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training and be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.
There are no other formal entry requirements but we strongly recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
